Today marks 12 years since Belinda Emmett died. Ive been remembering her all day listening to her posthumous album So I am and watching her movie The Nugget. I miss Belle so much, I loved watching her in Home and away growing up. Belinda had the most stunning looks and was a beautiful soul inside and out. I miss her so much RIP xx

Belinda's life was much too short but what a fantastic amount she achieved and how inspirational she was in how to live your life. She faced the most devastating and unfair of situations with wonderful courage and positivity while openly admitting these didn't always come easily. Although I lived thousands of miles from Belinda, her talent and vivacity on screen made me feel she was in the same room. While admiring her greatly in her own right, I identified with Belinda since she demonstrated the same wonderful qualities in her own cancer battle as a friend of mine, Nicole, did. On days like these when I have had a personal loss I always think of Belinda. She truly knew the value of life, those around her and making the most of her talent and time. Even when desperately ill, that never faltered and she did more with her life than many in the best of health but bogged down too deep by negativity - much of which is not nearly as great as we think when we examine it. While Belinda may not be with us in person, she can always live on in our hearts and minds as a delightful person who left us a delightful, truly inspiring legacy. For me that's the best achievement of them all.
