FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, 24TH JANUARY, 2015 IN CAPE COASTAll friends and sympathizers are cordially invited! "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began" – Titus 1:2"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25) Mrs Mercy Obeng-Addae lived a fulfilled life of which we are grateful to God. We know from God's word that long life is the reward of the righteous and gray hair is a glorious crown. she was indeed a good woman and we all have pleasant memories of her and we are going to miss her.Mama was a great disciplinarian and yet a very caring and gracious mother. She lived at peace with her neighbors and loved her family. For those of us - nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces - who attended colleges close to mama's house, we always looked forward to a good lunch in Mama's house over the weekend. She was very generous and kind in heart. To say mama was an organized person would be an understatement. Every item in her fridge was well labelled. Her house was always clean and was very a independent person even in her late eighties.Mama was not afraid to speak her mind but she did so with love and respect. She was a woman of exceptional beauty and of graceful proportion. Contentment, diligence, courage and integrity are qualities she exemplified. She taught her children to work hard and to always make do with what they have and never to be envious of other people. She run her race and accomplished God's purpose for her life. Her church attendance was remarkable and she lived a life worthy of a christian. Having believed in Jesus Christ as her savior, we do know she is now in the company of Christ and we have the sure and certain hope of meeting together with her again on the resurrection morning. We take comfort in the God of all comforts during this period of bereavement when our tears overflow as we mourn the passing our dear mother, auntie, and grandma.May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace and rise in glory. We want to thank all those who have taken the time to visit this memorial website, and to all who have gone the extra mile to call and email with words of comfort. May the Good LORD richly bless you.
