June 18, 1917, a beautiful baby girl was born to the union of the late Forest and Ida Senegal in Crowley, Louisiana. They named their gift from God Gertude, although, she was known as "Gertie". Gertie and her family relocated to California 1934. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and became a faithful servant for the Lord at Ephisians Church of God in Christ located in Berkeley, CA. Gertie brought love, joy, and happiness to those around who were blessed to have known her. She was a cheerful, loving, kindhearted, woman of God; always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her doors were always open to her family and friends. She lived her life for Christ - a devote Christian - endeavoring to share the Lord's word to all she encountered.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that were I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1-3.
Soon and very soon we are going to see the King!
