Our precious 8 1/2 year old daughter Nina Z. Nazari was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on August 5th 2009. That same day, she was admitted to Medical City of Dallas Children's Hospital. For the next ten days, Nina underwent a very grueling and intensive course of chemotherapy in an effort to quickly bring her cancer under control. On the eleventh day something went horribly wrong and Nina's health became worse. She was complaining of severe back pain, was getting high dosages of pain medication and antibiotics; however, nothing was effective. Our precious daughter had a seizure and shortly after that she went into a coma. Nina Zahra Nazari deceased at 10:09 a.m., August 17th, 2009 at the Medical City of Dallas Children's Hospital after losing a hard fought twelve day battle against Leukemia. God's Garden Must Be Beautiful: God looked around the garden, And found an empty space. He looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best. He knew that you were weary And He knew that you would never Be well on earth again, He saw the roads were getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered peace be thine. We encourage anyone wishing to honor Nina's short life to please make a contribution in her memory.
